How to find the Ghost Train in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 4

Spooky.

Trains in Fortnite are a greꦑat way to travel around the map, pick up some rare loot, and ambush unsuspecting players. However, Fortnitemares 2024 introduces a new version of this, the Ghost Train, that may stump you if you see its objective in your Nitemare quest list.

How to find the Ghost Train during Fortnitemares 2024

The Ghost Train is a variation of Fortnite’s regular train that appears during Fortnitemares. You’ll spot the train’s location by opening your map and looking for its icon. Unlike its usual appearance, the Ghost Train is much darker with a mysterious Jack-O-Lantern-like face.

However, you’ll often spot other players attempting to ride the train, too. You’ll especially see this during days when new Fortnitemares or weekly quests involving the Ghost Train are released. You’ll first experience this through the Nitemare Four list, but it may reappear. In other words, watch out for other players while riding the train and quickly grab a weapon from the wall containers.

What does the Ghost Train do in Fortnite?

Beyond its changed appearance, the Ghost Train behaves exactly the same as its normal counterpart. In the frontmost cart, you’ll find a chest you can hack for extra items. By interacting with it and waiting a few seconds, it’ll reveal its loot, which usually includes a few rare goodies.

The Ghost Train follows a set path throughout the Fortnite map via a railway. You can find this railway on your map or in train stations. It moves much faster than your character’s running speed, making it great for traveling long distances and visiting quest NPCs. However, storm circles don’t stop its movement, so watch your map in case you’re close to entering it.

Outside of this, the Ghost Train is similar to a normal train. If you’re already familiar with Fortnite’s trains, you’ll mainly notice its changed appearance for the Halloween season. There may be slightly higher odds of giving Fortnitemares loot, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.
