How to find the Trash Bear in Stardew Valley

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a chunky raccoon?

Stardew Valley is filled with secrets꧟ and events that happen when you reach a certain point, but some of them are easy to miss if you’re not actively looking for them. One of these fixed events is the appearance of the frie🐟ndly neighborhood Trash Bear, who may or may not be part raccoon.

Not to be confused with the bear who writes Secret Note #23, the Trash Bear is a pa🎉n-pipe playing, Mary Poppins channeling NPC that shows up once you’ve reached a certain date and then proceeds to be a ﷺthorn in your side until you’ve completed his requests. On the plus side, it will then do you a massive favor, but it’s going to take some effort.

You don’t actually need to do anything to find the Trash Bear in Stardew Valley because it w🎶ill begin to appear as soon as you hit year 3. After that point, the Trash Bear will be available to interact with i♔n the lower half of Cindersap Forest, close to the patch of land where the Spring Onions grow, overlooking the Sewers.

After you’ve interacted with t🍰he Trash Bear once, it will start to request items. After completing four requests, a cutscene🍬 will appear in which the Trash Bear will beautify Pelican Town and the surrounding area by completing the following tasks:

  • Replacing the trash below the Sewers with bushes and trees
  • Removing the trash from Pam’s front yard
  • Upgrading Dusty’s dog pen

In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t the most important type of gameplay, but it is nice to have more requests to complete, and it’s even nicer not𒊎 to see the trash outside Pam’s house anymore.

The four requests can be split into two diff♑erent types, depending on the items the Trash Bear requests. It will always request two seasonal fish or forageables before requesting two cooked dishes. As long as the season remains the same, these requests will not change until they’ve been complet🦋ed. If you pass over into the next season, the Trash Bear will change his request to something that can be found within that season.

While the Trash Bear can request any cooked item at 🏅any time throughout the year, the seasonal requests will obviously ✱change depending on the season. Here are all of the items that the Trash Bear can request each season:
