To get the best outcome when you turn a crown into Johnny, you’ll want to bring him the best possible crown. Here’s how to get the pristine crown from the Tonberry King in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Pristine vs. marred crown

The crown drops as part of the fight with the Tonberry King, which you unlock by completing Expedition Intel locations in southern Corel. You’ll need to advance the story beyond the Golden Saucer to do so, so I’d advise you wait until you’ve got access to the southern part of Corel before tackling this venture.

The area lets you simply hold Triangle to re-fight the Tonberry King and his minions, so feel free to keep refighting the boss as often as you need for the pristine crown.
