How to get the Magnet Rod

To get the Magnet Rod in Fisch on Roblox, you’ll need 15,000 C$ and any boat to reach the Terrapin Island. Like the other rods in Fisch, you only need to purchase the Magnet Rod once and then you can equip and use it at any time. Assuming you’re on the starting Moosewood Island, you’ll want to head directly south to find Terrapin Island. Even though you can technically try to jump across the water the entire time to reach it, it’s much easier with even the 700 C$ Rowboat as you won’t have to worry about your breath meter, though any boat will work.

As you head directly south from Moosewood Island, you’ll eventually see the green text for Terrapin Island pop up which is where you want to go. Once you reach Terrapin Island, you’ll see a ladder you can climb up from the water and onto the island. Pull your boat up to the ladder and climb up then head forward to jump off the ledge where you see the Shipwright NPC inside of a small hut.

Leaning up against the table in front of the Shipwright is the Magnet Rod, which you can interact with by holding the ‘E’ key to purchase for $15,000 C$. After purchasing the Magnet Rod, open your Equipment Bag and click the Equip button under the Magnet Rod to equip and use it.

How the Magnet Rod works in Fisch

At a glance, the Magnet Rod may not seem too great. But I assure you, it’s actually one of the most useful rods in Fisch. Stat-wise it’s the weakest rod in the game, but it has a special ability that makes it incredibly worthwhile. Here are the stats when using the Magnet Rod in Fisch:

  • Control: 0.1
  • Luck: 0
  • Lure Speed: 55%
  • Resilience: 0

As you can see, the Magnet Rod is actually not good at catching fish. In fact, it’s arguably worse than the starting Flimsy Rod. But what makes the Magnet Rod so valuable is that when used, a Magnetic Field is generated that vastly increases the odds of acquiring Crates when fishing. With the Magnet Rod, you can easily fish up special items and most importantly lots of Bait, allowing you to save C$ on having to purchase Bait Crates. This makes the Magnet Rod a very versatile rod to have to do some specialty fishing when you get low on Bait and need to replenish your stocks. Just make sure you switch back to another rod better suited to catching fish when you’re ready to get back to anglin’.
