How to get Animal Cosmetics in Fields of Mistria

Once you’ve got some animals on your farm in Fields of Mistria, you may find that you become quite att൩ached to them. You’ve given them names, raised them up from babies, and they’re your company on the🦩 farm. But did you know you can also give them hats?

It’s not just hats, either. There’s sunglasses and bow ties as well. Now, if that doesn’t make you want to give all your love to your farmyar꧑d family, then I don’t know what will. 

How to get Animal Cosmetics in Fields of Mistria

You actuꦜally unlock Animal Cosmetics as soon as you adopt your first animal from Hayden, after you’ve successfully repaired the Mill 𝔍in Mistria Town. 

To purchase some accessories for your bovine or poultry friends, go to Hayden’s house and interact with the shop sign, then navigate to the tab indicated by a bow tie. Here, you’ll find all of the Animal Cosmetics that you can currently purchase. The best part is at 500 Tesserae each, they’re not going to make you broke.

There are also Animal Cosmetics given as rewards for completing quests. One of the main story quests, ‘Mistria’s Food Reserves Part 2’, will reward a Cow Cheese Hat and a Chicken Egg Hat when co🅷mpleted♋.

How to equip Animal Cosmetics in Fields of Mistria

Once you’ve ꧂purchased or earned a new Animal Cosmetic, use it in your inventory in the same way you would consume food or learn a new recipe. Having done that, approach one of your animals and press Q (M+KB controls) to inspect them, then select the button highlighted in the image below:

You’ll see all of the Animal Cosm꧋etics which are currently available to you and to equip one, simply select it. When you exit the menu, yღour farmyard friend will be dressed up and looking great.

It’s worth noting that Animal Cosmetics can only be equipped on mature animals. Which makes sense, because I think my chicken’s hat is bigger than she was when she was a chick.
