If you have a special someone that you love exploring Eorzea with in Final Fantasy XIV, there’s no better way to show your love for them than taking part in the Eter♔nal Bonding ceremony with the📖m. In other words, say your vows and get hitched in the MMO.
Getting married in MMO comes with many perks, including the ability to teleport directly to each other (with a 30-minute cooldown between uses) and some rather fetching glamour pieces for your collectio🐠n. The🅠re are also gifts for guests and even a two-seater Chocobo mount up for grabs just for tying the knot.
Undertaking the Eternal Bonding ceremony is far from straightforward, though. There are three different types of ceremony, one being free and two coming at additional cost. Each tier of ceremony comes with different options and different rewඣards, so it’s worth knowing what you’re getting into before taking the plunge.
How to get married in Final Fantasy XIV
Before you can get married, there are a few things you’ll need to make sur✅e you’ve done:
- Have at least one class leveled to at least level 50
- Complete the level 17 MSQ quest “The Scions of the Seventh Dawn”
you’ll need to book your ceremony. To do this, you’ll need to purchase your desired plan through the FFXIV Online Store.
Whatever option you choose (see below for more details about the three options), you’ll🐼 need two of them. One person can buy both, or each person can buy their own, but i🌸t’s a good idea to make sure you’re buying the same plan as your partner.
Once you’ve purchased them both, wait for the Promise Wristlets to✱ come through to your in-game inbox, and then each equip one. Then, get into a party with only your partner and head to the East Shroud together to begin the planning process. Now, the fun begins.
Planning a wedding is stressful, even in the virtual world, so be prepared for some fun times ahead. To begin, head to the Sanctum of The Twelve in East Shroud and talk to Claribel (X:17.5, Y:18.2) to begin the level 1 quest “The Tie🌠s That Bind.” The first couple of steps involved in completing this quest are relatively straightforward, but get ready to take a pilgrimage.
After the Pilgrimage is complete, you’ll be able to book a date and time for your ceremony by talking t⛄o Hawu Bajihri near the entrance to the Sanctum of the Twelve. Then, all that’s left to do is invite your guests (if you want any) and wait for your Ceremony of Eternal Bonding.

If you want to relive the events of your Ceremony of Eternal Bonding in FFXIV, you can do so each year on the anniversary of your origina🌱l ceremony. You’ll need to register your anniversary with Hawu Bajihri at the Sanctum of the Twelve (X:17.5, Y18.4) and then each year, you’ll receive a notification inviting you to reaccept the quest “The Ties That Bind”.
You won’t need to complete the pilgrimage again, but you’ll get to plan your wedding all over again.
