How to unlock Ray Gun Mark 2 in Black Ops 6 Zombies

You can snag the Ray Gun Mark 2 the old-fashioned way by risking it all with the Mystery Box. However, it can only be done at the Shattered Veil, as Treyarch has confirmed the other maps won’t have this Wonder Weapon available until Season 3 Reloaded. You can also unlock it by obtaining the Floppy Disk and Severed Arm, which are a part of the 馃挅Ray Gun Mark 2 questline.

I’ll go into more detail about the Severed Arm and Floppy Disk below, but for now, let’s talk about the Mystery Box method. Although Mystery Boxes issue out guns randomly, you can beat the odds by consuming the Wonderbar GobbleGum. This perk guarantees a Wonder Weapon drop every time, and you co鈻╱ld軎 be lucky enough to acquire the Ray Gun Mark 2.

In my previous Zombies adventures, the Wonderbar GobbleGum instantly gave me rare gems like the Beamsmasher and Jet Gun. Typically, these weapons require a lengthy crafting process, but the GobbleGum more or less skips it entirely. Even if you don’t have the Wonderbar, you can still experiment with the Mystery Box and hope the Mark 2 appears. You can find the Mystery Box on the map in a few spots. As always, its location will change from time to time. Nevertheless, you may be able to determine its location with its distinct blue beam high in the sky.

The Ray Gun Mark 2 un馃尡leashes three-round bursts of energy, going a step above the classic Ray Gun Wonder Weapon. 嗖瀁ou can also use it as a melee-based weapon whenever your bullets run out. This maneuver will prove helpful, as Wonder Weapon ammunition can be quite costly, especially during the later rounds.

How to unlock the Ray Gun Mark 2 from Armory in BO6 Zombies

If you’re having trouble with the Mystery Box method, you can better your chances by unlocking it from the Armory. Here’s a brief overview of what you need to do:

  1. Acquire the Floppy Disk
  2. Use the Floppy Disk on a fax machine in the East Foyer
  3. Note down the word you’re given (Can be either Moth, Crab, or Yeti)
  4. Use your code to solve the Doppelghast code puzzle
  5. Open the doors to the locked Doppelghast in the Service Tunnel
  6. Defeat the Doppelghast
  7. Pick up the Severed Arm from its body
  8. Take the Severed Arm to the Armory
  9. Place the Severed Arm in the slot next to the Ray Gun Mark 2
  10. Claim your prize

Crafting BO6 Zombies’ Ray Gun Mark 2 can take some time, so let’s break down each step.

How to get and use the Floppy Disk

Like the Stamps from Citadelle des Morts, a Floppy Disk will drop from a zombie with a lab coat around Round 11. These enemies seem to spawn underground, so you should make your way to S.A.M. near Pack-a-Punch. Use the Floppy Disk with the fax machine (Stamin-up room), giving you a unique codeword on a piece of paper. Those who don’t see this paper should trigger the next round. You must translate each letter from this word into numbers, and unfortunately, the answers change with each playthrough.

Go to the Nursery near the PhD Flopper machine and translate each letter in your codeword into numbers. Look for your codeword’s first letter on the chalkboard and count how many letters are in its sub-group. Complete this step three more times until you get four numbers.

Travel down to the underground level of the Service Tunnel by opening the locked doors near S.A.M. Approach the Doppelghast behind the glass door and enter the four numbers in the order of your codeword. Defeat the Doppelghast to obtain the Severed Arm for the BO6 Zombies’ Ray Gun Mark 2 Easter Egg.

If you’re still at the Service Tunnel, go to the right side to find the Shattered Veil Armory at bottom-level D5 coordinates. Open the door and approach the case with the Ray Gun Mark 2.

Place the arm inside the slot on the right of the case. In return, you’ll gain one of the most powerful Wonder Weapons in Black Ops 6 Zombies. You can even increase your strength by adding the Wunderwaffe DG-2 to your arsenal.

All Ray Gun Mark 2 variants in BO6 Zombies

Ray Gun Mark 2 variants are back to diversify this Wonder Weapon’s power, a feature you may recognize from Black Ops 4. Here’s a breakdown of all Ray Gun Mark 2 variants in Black Ops 6 Zombies:

  • Ray Gun Mark 2-W: A submachine-based weapon that can ignite enemies randomly
  • Ray Gun Mark 2-P: A shotgun-based weapon that spawns sigils, granting invulnerability to a player standing on it temporarily
  • Ray Gun Mark 2-R: A marksman rifle-based weapon that randomly unleashes bullets with a plague infection area-of-effect

Unlocking these variants will require some crafting, but I’m still getting through the Shattered Veil Easter Eggs. I’ll update this guide once I find out more information.
