A big part of Halloween celebrations is dressing up in scary, funny, and cute costumes before going out and trick-or-treating. Dress to Impress has added a few costumes for this time of year, with the hotdog and cupcake costumes being the two main e🌠xamples.
How to wear a Cupcake costume in Dress to Impress
During the Dress to Impress Halloween event, you’ll find the cupcake costume hiding on top of a potted plant next to the VIP room. Upon spawning into the main dressing room area, head toward the VIP lounge near the salon to find a plant next to its entrance.
Don’t worry: you’re not required to be a VIP to access or use this costume. Although being VIP helps unlock other clothing items, you can find this outfit as a new player, too.
As you approach the plant, you’ll notice a tiny cupcake costume on top of the dirt. Click on it to wear the outfit, allowing you to rock a cute Halloween costume for your next theme. There is a chance you won’t see it here right away, but hovering over the spot should show it unless it’s removed after Halloween.
Although it might not fit your current theme, some niche uses exist, such as making a golden cupcake for the Dripping in Gold theme or usin🌞g its base form du🐲ring a Food-inspired theme.
What happened to the hotdog costume?
If you’ve been playing Dress to Impress for a while during this event, you may know that this hiding spot originally had a hotdog costume. However, the community got a little too creative with changing the hotdog’s colors, prompting the developers to change it to a cupcake. At the very least, your odds of finding non-family-friendly outfits from this costume are lower than the hotdog’s alternative forms.
How to change the Cupcake costume’s color
One of the most important parts of designing Dress to Impress is changing your outfit colors through the clothing customization menu. By opening your clothes menu and clicking the costume, you’ll find your color wheel, palette, and pattern options, as you would with other outfits.
You can change the following fiv꧒e parts of the cupcake costume:
- Frosting color
- Wrapping/leg color
- Each of the three sprinkle types
You can customize fine details in the cupcake by having five items to colour, such as having multiple icing types or using patterns to add texture to your frosting. If you’re creative enough, you can do a lot with it and even match peculiar themes. Otherwise, you can leave it for a food or birthday-related theme.
