How to install the Extreme Violence mod for The Sims 4

The Sims go postal

Recommended Videos

Do you have a friend who complains about having to remove pool ladders whenever they want their Sims to die in a totally accidental manner? Good! The hopefully nice people at Sacrificial Mods made an extreme mod to appease the cruel god who rules the world of The Sims 4 (which, in this case, is your friend).

Yes, we can now go mask-off when it comes to manag🥂ing the lives and many deaths of their Sims.

What do we get from the Sims 4 Extreme Violence mod

The Extreme Violence Mod brings one hell of a lot to the sacrificial altar. We believe that one of the best things about playing The Sims are surprises such as the first time your Sim gets abducted by aliens, or the first time your entire family dies in a horrible fire. We won’t spoil everything, but here’s the gist of it:

  • Blood.
  • New animations that go from classy gruesome, like stabbing someone in the heart, to hilariously gruesome, like throwing a running helicopter at a bunch of bystanders.
  • Guns and knives.
  • Did we mention that you can throw helicopters at people?
  • The serial killer trait. It automatically imbues any Sim who commits a murder with the wish and will to claim more victims.

The latest version adds:

  • Werewolves.
  • Seemingly werewolf-related deaths.
  • The ability to rip out the hearts of other Sims and put them in your inventory.

How to get the carnage started

  • First, enter
  • Download the mod. While it downloads, ponder if now’s finally the time to pay for Winrar.
  • Use the still-trial version of Winrar (or any similar app) to extract the mod to a new folder.
  • Select the mod’s folder, right-click, and select “cut”.
  • Open your Sims 4 mods folder that’s located in “Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods” and paste the files there.
  • Make sure you have both “Mods” and “Script Mods” enabled in your The Sims 4 game options.
  • Restart the game prior to beginning the massacre, per the mod makers’ recommendation.

This mod drastically changes the inner workings of the base game. Furthermore, we advise patience, as official updates may stop it from working properly. Give the mod’s developers enough time to fix these possible upcoming issues.

The Extreme Violence Mod is currently in version 2.4 and is totally free, just like The Sims 4’s tamer version. You should totally get both and let one infect the other even if you don’t like The Sims. Perhaps especially if you don’t like them.
