Where to find a Dunkleosteus

The dunkleosteus can be found in the Hydrothermal Vents, an end-game🅰 zone at the bottom of the Glacial Area. You’ll need to progress the main story until you unlock th𒁏e area.

In order to reach this depth, you’ll also need a fully upgraded diving suit, which you can purchase on the iDiver app on your phone. It’s fairly expensive, but just keep selling sushi at your restaurant until you can afford it.

Once you reach the Hydrothermal Vents, a dunkleosteus will always spawn toward the bottom of the basin, usually on the left♎ side. It looks like an enꦚormous armored fish, and it is very aggressive.

Unlike other fish in Dave the Diver, the dunkleosteus is covered in thick,🌠 armored scales. Guns, harpoons, and nets are unable to make a scratch if you try to take it head-on. There are two ways to dea🌃l with this pesky armor:

  • Use explosive mines. These can be found in the Cobra shop before your dive or randomly in yellow crates. Place a mine and then bait the dunkleosteus into swimming into it. Depending on the type of mine, it’ll either automatically detonate or you’ll have to detonate it manually.
  • Shoot its underbelly or tail. The head and back of the dunkleosteus are protected, but its white underbelly and tail are not. Try to get below or behind it and shoot it with your weaponry of choice.

Good luck, and enjoy your prehistoric sushi!
