How to open the purple prison cells in the Pagoda in Black Myth: Wukong

In Chapter 3 of Black Myth: Wukong, you will arrive at the terrifying Pagoda. This place is spooky, and there are a lot of folks here who’d like you to open the purple, locked cell doors. This is how to do it.

To open the purple doors you will need to find and defeat Captain Lotus Vision, a secret boss hidden away in the level. When you do, you will be able to absorb his spirit, and t🌊he doors will open. This will allow you to get in and talk to the NPC at the start, as well as check all the locked rooms in the Pagoda to see what is inside.

To find Captain Lotus Vision, make your way through the Pagoda, climbing from level to level until you reach 𓃲the Upper Pagodꦇa Shrine. It is worth being quite thorough as you go, as there are some secrets and hidden treasures along the way. There is only really one path forward, and for the most part, you just go to the end of a level and then take the ramp up to the next level.

When you come to the Upper Pagoda Shrine, instead of continuing straight on, take a look behind it. You will see a large hole in the ground and the top of a roof. You can drop down to this, which will bring you to a room where you can fight Capta🌳in Lotus Vision.

Now, I won’t even pretend that this chap didn’t give me fits. The fight plays out like a bullet hell in certain places, so prepare for lots of jumping and dodging. The ability to freeze him is very strong, as you can trap him low to the floor and smash him up, and Pluck of Many is also great, as you can play a little defensive while keeping the pressure high.

When you have the boss down, a golden spirit will appear that you can draw in with your Gourd. This will unlock all the doors, and you can leave the arena with a ramp on the left side as you face the giant, rotating pillar. After that, you are free to visit the start of the level again and talk to the NPC, and grab a useful item from his cell. The new item is a fresh Transformation called Ashen 🔜Slumber.

Talk to ▨the NPC to find out more about him and his troubles. He will have some things that you can help him out with, which will involve moﷺre Captains.
