How to perform Chase Change in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

Take down your opponent as a team.

Piccolo’s Battle Training offers a wide variety of lessons to help shape you in your fighting journey. However, some offensive techniques can be tricky to master, even with the demonstrative tutorials.

So, if you’re stuck on the Follow-Up Attacks section, here’s how to perform a Chase Change in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

How to complete Chase Change challenge in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

As you progress through the Battle Training’s Intermediate hub, you’ll encounter the Chase Change maneuver. This technique requires you to switch your attacker mid-way through Team Battle, then let the switched-in character continue the assault. It’s a challenging move, but with determination and practice, you can master it. Here’s how to perform it:

  1. Perform three Rush Attacks (simple punch)
  2. Hold the interaction to switch characters immediately after
  3. While you’re holding this button, press the Rush Attack once more

The timing of the Chase Change needs to be precise, so you must initiate that character swap straight away. The key here is to hold down the switch interaction with the left-directional button and then unleash the punch right after. You can use this clip as a guide to perform the Chase Change successfully in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

When you’re switching the character, make sure you don’t just tap the directional button. It doesn’t seem to work for the interaction this way, and you may restart your progress as a result.

I also suggest not performing the Chase Change any time your punches send the opponent flying. Since the attack needs to be quick, you won’t be able to reach them in time when they’re in this state.

It may take a while to master, but fortunately, there’s no time limit in the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Battle Training area. This means you can practice as much♉ as you need, without feeling rushed. With patience and dedication, you should end up with a successful character-switching attack.
