How to preload Monster Hunter Wilds on all platforms

Monster Hunter Wilds is going to launch worldwide on February 28, but you don’t have to wait that long after purchasing your copy.

You can preload your game ahead of the release on whichever platform you own, and doing so has certain benefits. For starters, you can jump right in once the game goes live, as all the files will be downloaded and installed. Let’s take a look at how preload works for the latest Monster Hunter title on all available platforms.

How to preload Monster Hunter Wilds on PC

If you have purchased your copy from Steam, go to your Librarļ·ŗy and complete the following steps.

  • Select the game and clock on the preload/pre-install banner.
  • Select your storage location, and accept all the EULA.
  • The preload will begin and complete automatically.

Once the preload is complete, you’ll find that the Play button is unavailable. It will be made available automatically by Steam once the game is live.

How to preload Monster Hunter Wilds on Xbox consoles

The process of downloading the game on consoles is pretty much similar to PC. On your Xbox, go to the game’s page.

  • Select the edition you want to purchase.
  • Once you’ve purchased the game, you’ll get the option to load your game.
  • Complete the download process, which will automatically start the installation part.

How to preload Monster Hunter Wilds on PS5

Just like on PC and Xbox, you’ll first have to go to the page of Monster Hunter Wilds. There are three different editions to pick ā™›from. Once you have purchased your edition, complete š“ƒ²the following steps.

  • Open your Library from the Home Screen.
  • Pick Monster Hunter Wilds.
  • You’ll find an option to preload the game on the left-hand side of the screen.
  • Just wait for the download to finish, and you should be good to go.

Do note that the pre-load should be available on all available platforms as of February 25. If you don’t have the option after purchasing the game, make sure to restart Steam/console once for it to appear.
