How to solve the Lovey-Dovey Couple puzzle in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Someone set them up the Population Bomb

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask has sidequests you just kind of… stumble on. And for the Lovey-Dovey Couple quest, you might not even realize you’re getting a side mission when you find it. These two lovebirds are right behind the Community Center in Mossui Town, and they want to see a Pokemon with a love as strong as theirs. If you can recall the new Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, you may recall a monster (more like monsters) synonymous with love. They even had an even♑t dedicated to them arou൩nd Valentine’s Day. This might be enough for Pokemon fans to figure out the solution here, but if not, here it is spel🌺led out.

To solve the Lovey-Dovey Couple quest, show them either a Tandemaus or Maushold. Either Pokemon will work, and they’re rather easy to find in both Paldea and Kitakami. Notably, you can find Tandemaus in grassy areas on the southwestern side of Kitakami. The couple will comment on the kid(s) in the Maushold unit, so show them that if you’d like that one unique textbox.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask earning the Heart (Right) emote and Heart (Left) emote

Your rewards for completing the Lovey-Dovey couple’s quest are the Heart (Right) and Heart (Left) emotes. You can use these by pressing Up on the D-Pad and selecting them from the menu that pops up. Obviously, emotes like these were made for Photo Mode. And if you want to make a complete heart, you’ll need to join a partner with the Union Circle feature. A cute little easter egg for couples who play Pokemon together, but nothing that will make your Baxcalibur hit better or anythi𓂃ng. Either way, a fit🅰ting reward for a rather simple quest.
