The galactic tales of Starfield continue to unfold with the thrilling release of the Shattered Space DLC. Like many updates, it’ll require a specific mission to access, which will then take you over to the new area. Here’s how to start the Shattered Space DLC in Starfield.
How do you start Shattered Space DLC in Starfield?
To start the Shattered Space DLC in Starfield, you’ll need to complete the quest, One Small Step. The good news is that it’s a quick and straightforward mission, serving as the perfect introduction to the saga. Those who have completed this quest can begin a grav-jump to any orbit not associated with a mission or special encounter. From there, you should get a distress call regarding the star station, The Oracle. I had to grav-jump twice for it to work, producing a distress call from the character, Sirak Veth’aal.
An Orbit Station then appeared in front of me, triggering the What Remains quest. You must investigate the Orbit Station to begin the Shattered Space DLC, but make sure you’re ready for a possible fight.
Anyone who owns the Premium or Constellation Editions gains access to this mission, and you should see a download for a new update. Even if you haven’t purchased this, you can upgrade it to receive the DLC, Digital Art Book,🍰 Original Soundtrack, 1,000 Creation Credits, and the Constellation Skin Pack.
Starfield Shattered Space level recommendation
Although the introductory quest is the only requirement of the Shattered Space DLC, the official recommends being at Level 35. A rank like this will take quite a while to achieve, so you may want to begin the rest of the story to improve your character’s performance.
If you’ve already achieved this level, you should be able to survive through the latest home world of House Va’ruun. Not to say that it won’t be challenging, but at least it’ll make the experience a little more accessible.
Many improvements have also been added to the game since its launch. In particular, you can cruise down the planets with the REV-8 Land Vehicle. It’ll make traveling a cakewalk, fitting in perfectly for the new location. You’ll also notice better handling of melee weapons, offering more ways to enhance your tools in the crafting bench.
