Little effort, big reward

Once you’ve worked your way through the Dawntrail MSQ in Final Fantasy XIV, it’s time to think about leveling your Crafters. While you could ♑go about this the hard way, crafting items at progressively higher levels, there are some worthwhile shortcuts.

Alongside the Wachumeqimeqi sidequests, one of the best ways to level your Crafters and Gatherers fast is through Guildleves. These Leves provide a huge amount of EXP for a relatively small amount of work.

How to unlock Leves in Dawntrail

Before unlocking Leves in Dawntrail, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:

  • Have at least one Disciple of the Land or Hand at level 90
  • Complete the level 100 MSQ quest ‘Dawntrail’

Once you’ve done that, equip a Crafter or Gatherer and talk to Malihali in Tuliyollal (X:13.7, Y12.7) for the quest ‘Leves of Tuliyollal’. Simply picking up the quest completes it, unlocking access to both Crafting and Gathering Leves in FFXIV.

How Tradecraft (Crafting) Leves work in Final Fantasy XIV

Tradecraft Leves challenge you to craft a specific item. There is no quality requirement for whatever you hand in, an you can earn up to seven million EXP per Leve for🌜 a normal quality item, depending o🦂n your current level and the level of the Leve you’re completing.

Crafters unlock two new Leves per every two levels at 92, 94, and so on. If you’re short on time, you can purchas🏅e the required items on the marke🌊tboard and hand those in. Regardless of whether you craft the items yourself or buy them, try to hand in high quality items. This doubles EXP per Leve, granting you upwards of 10 million EXP per hand-in at level 94 and above.

For Dawntrail Leves, anything you craft for a Leve must be handed i✃nto Ponawme at Tuliyollal (X:13.8, Y:12.6ꩵ).

How to Fieldcraft (Gathering) Leves work in Final Fantasy XIV

Fieldcraft Leves work a bit different from Tradecraft Leves, aside from Fisher Leves. Fisher Leves can also be completed by purchasing required fish on the Marketboard and handing them i🍎n, though you can also go and gather the required hand-ins yourself if you desire.

To complete Miner and Botanist Leves, on the other hand, you have no choice but to go to the area specified within the Leve itself. After picking ಌup a Leve, head ꧋to the area specified within the blue secondary text in the Duty List.

Once you arrive in the specified area, open up your map and you’ll see three green✅ circles on ꦑthe map. These are the locations of the Leves that you need to complete and hovering over any of the green circles will tell you which Leve it relates to.

Head to a green circle and once you arrive, you’ll need to make sure that you’re not in a Party before clicking t♛he name of the Leve in the Duty List to open up the Journal. Click on the relevant Leve and click ‘Initiate’ to begin the Leve.

On🍃ce you’ve initiated the Leve, you’ll have a fixed amount of time to complete the objectives specified in the Duty List. For Botanist and Miner, you’ll need to gather specific materials, which will be displayed on both the mini map and main map as green circles after initiating the Leve.

Once you’ve completed all three Leves, head back to Tuliyollal and talk to Malihali again, select🐠ing ‘Collect Rewards’ from the menu to get that all impo🔴rtant EXP.

Although Fieldcraft Leves don’t allow you to hand in high quality items for an EXP boost, y🌳ou can earn bonuses by performing well during the Leves themselves. You’ll get bonuses for completing Leves quickly, gathering 🐻more items than were specified by the Duty List, or scoring more points in certain Leves.
