Downsize Surprise is a standout level in Astro Bot. Or, at least I feel that way. The level, found in the Tentacle System, gives you the power to shrink down for some pint-sized mayhem. Downsize Surprise also has a Lost Galaxy to unlock in Astro Bot, and here’s how.
Like with some other levels, Downsize Surprise gives Astro a new ability. In this case, it’s being able to shrink down and become a robo-mouse to navigate through small environments. Considering how often you’ll find yourself squirreling away in these areas, hopping over moving gears, or sneaking into bedrooms, you’d think the Lost Galaxy exit would be in a mouse hole of some type. You’d be wrong.
Where to find and unlock the Downsize Surprise Lost Galaxy exit in Astro Bot
Don’t be alarmed, but there’s a pretty good chance you would have been able to find the particularly sneaky Downsize Surprise exit if you were a bit more patient. You can find the exit not long after the aforementioned bedroom. Leave the room and shrink down to climb a nearby tree.
Once you’re on top, use your jump boost lasers to blast through a protective glass barrier over a fan to the left.
Shrink to mouse form and ride the gust of air to the next platform. As you approach the frog, it’ll turn around and begin blowing bubbles. Hop on a bubble and ride it skyward.
Now, here’s the fun bit. Most players will likely hop off the bubble, enter the cage to rescue the robot, and then leave. But if you stay on the bubble just a bit longer, it’ll bring you to a branch just above the cage.
Hop onto the branch before the bubble bursts. Use your boos🔜ter to get to the next branch and press the power button to activate the Lost Galaxy exit portal.
See? Patience pays off. (Please don’t point out that I used the bird. We all need help sometimes.)
The exit unlocks the Boxel Bust-Up level in the Lost Galaxy. It contains two puzzle pieces and five bots, three of which a𒁃re VIPs.
