There are three gated classes at launch
After jumping into Exoprimal, it’s understandable that you’d want to try out every class immediately. I mean, it’s a class-based shooter! But just know that three of them are not available right away. Here’s what you need to do to unlock them.
Here are all of the default Exoprimal classes you’ll get as part of the base game
All of the below classes will be available by default right after the tutorial. All you need to do is clear the tutorial, then you’ll be able to select your suit from the following options:
Assault (DPS)
- Deadeye
- Zephyr
- Barrage
Tank
- Roadblock
- Krieger
Support
- Witchdoctor
- Skywave
Note that three more suits are locked! About those…
Here are the three Exoprimal classes that are locked, and how to unlock them
Assault unlock
- Vigilant is unlocked at player level 40 – it specializes in long-range fire
Tank unlock
- Murasame is unlocked at player level 30 – it’s a melee bruiser that uses a huge sword (as you may have guessed from the name)
Support unlock
- Nimbus is unlocked at player level 20 – it can swap between a DPS and support role in-game
Player levels are gained separately from the season pass, and through normal play. So just grind out matches and you’ll eventually reach Nimbus, then Murasame, then Vigilant.
You can also straight-up pay to unlock them early
In classic Capcom fashion, you can pay up and unlock stuff early. It’s called the Head Start Kit, and it has a $14.99 MSRP – though you can get a discount through Xbox Game Pass (to $13.49). The kit also comes with three skins.
