If you’ve come this far, you’ve already heard the mysterious voice calling out to you from within the Mines. This v🍨oice leads🎐 you to the Water Seal on floor 20, where you need to give items before you can go any further.

To open up this door and move further down in the Mines, you’ll ꦜ🧜need to offer up the following four items:

  • 1 Ruby
  • 1 Lantern Moth
  • 1 Stone Loach
  • 1 Upper Mines Mushroom

Don’t worry if you’re unsure where to find any of these items, I’ve done the legwork and located all of them. My biggest tip for completing this is to start from the very beginning of the Mines in order to work your way down, maximizing your chances of finding each item.

How to get Rubies

If you’ve been diving inꦓto the Mines, you’ve no doubt come across a lot of Rubies in your exploration. These are found in red colored nodes and rocks within the Mines. If you’re not getting lucky, Balor sometimes has Rubies for sale at his Wagon for 180 Tesserae each.

How to get a Lantern Moth

This insect is found within the upper floors of the𝓡 Mi🌄nes (pre-floor 20), and you can usually find it hovering around one of the flaming pedestals.

How to get a Stone Loach

This one isn’t as easy, but it’s bizarrely not the hardest item to find. Stone Loach are ꦍlarge shadows swimming around in the many pools in the Upper Mines. You’ll likely catch a lot of Cave Eels while trying to find a Stone Loach, but 🐼keep persevering and you’ll get one eventually.

How to get an Upper Mines Mushroom

You would think that in a cave system the size of Mistria’s Mines, there would be a lot of Mushro☂oms, but appareꦓntly you’d be wrong. This was by far the hardest of these four items to find, and I found mine on floor 17.

Once you’ve got these four items, take them back to floor 20 and interact with൲ the stone tablet in the middle of the room. It acts similarly to a donation box, and you just need to click the items within your inventory to place them in their pedestals and open the Water Seal door.

What do you get for opening the Water Seal in Fields of Mistria?

Unlocking the Water Seal door does a few things, but mostly it allows you to descend further into the Mines into the new water biome below. Down here, you’ll face new and more difficult enemies and find new resources 🤡such as Coral, Sapphire and Iron Ore.

This last one is especially important because it will allow you to progress with upgrading tꦬhe General ꧙Store and also upgrading your gear, which will be necessary as you descend further into the Mines.

Once you return home after completing this quest, Caldarus will have something to say. He’ll tell you that there are a total of five seals to be unlocked (presumably these are ev☂ery 20 levels in the Mines,ꦬ but this has yet to be verified).

As well as giving you this information, you’ll also gain a new spell called ‘Summon Rain’ which can be used to waterꦜ all of your crops. You’ll also gain one additional Mana, and Caldarus will also heal you completely and restore all Mana you’ve previously used.
