The musical map in Hogwarts Legacy is quite confusing to decipher. This guide will ring the right bellą¹s for you, so you can find its treasure.
Where to find the Musical Map in Hogwarts Legacy
To find the Musical Map, you want to head your ź§way south. Go west from the South Clagmar Coast floo powder location and go southwest from Bainburgh. Yep, itās that far down south. Youāll find Henriettaās Hideaway there. Youāll find enemies nearby, but you can sneak by them if you directly head to the entrance down the stairway.Ā
Before you attempź¦t the puzzles, youāll need Glacius, Wingardium Leviosa, and Incendio to succeed. As you enter the cavernous area, youāll see one block on the right ašnd a flame symbol on the ground to the left. First, cast Glacius (the ice spell) to the block on the right.
Now, look to the right. Youāll see a statue of a mysterious caped wizard. Underneath thereās a pot of ash. Cast Incendio (the fire spell) oš§øn it. It will reveal a treasure chest. Do the same to the left statue.š² It will spin to reveal the cube you need.
Now lift the cube and bring it to the fire symbol on tš¹he floor. Cast Incendio once more to open the path forward.
How to get the Map
Youāll see a bunch of Ashwinders in front of you. Thereās a tough Executioner within the halls. Try to use his lightning spell against the weaker enemies. Theyāll take a lot of damage from the friendly fire. Also take out the annoying ranger at the higher platform because theyāll keep casting Petrificus Totalus at you. You donāt want to šbe stunned.
Once theyāre taken care of, go up the stairs. Youāll come across a trap that stops you from proceeding. Dashing by holding the dodge button worked for me. Now there are more šAshwinders. If youāre struggling to get their health down quickly, use a Maxima Potion if you have any. It increases your damage. Use some spell combinations as well, including Glacius and then Diffindo; thesše increase your combat potential.
You may encounter some Inferi as well. Use fire spells to make them susceptible to your attacks. Then aąµ©ttack with your usual spells. Good luck with dealing these undead.
After theyāre dealt with, look to your right. Youāll see a cracked wall. Walk towards the brick wall to the right of it, and youāre let through to the next room. Look left and youāll see a few candles on a table. The musical map is below them. Youāll also find money within a cheš¬st and a Wiggenweld potion within this area.
Where is the Musical Map in Hogwarts Legacy pointing to?
If you take a glance at the Musical Map in Hogwarts Legacy in your inventory, you’ll see it’s leading you to an area in the open world. Specifically, it wants you to go to Clagmar Castle. It’s east of Henrietta’s Hideaway (where you got the Musical Map) and north of the South Clagmar Coast fast travel location. There’s also a Merlin’s Trial and a Stargazing spot in Henrietta’s Hideaway to finish while you’re in the area.
When you arrive, you’ll face a bunch of Ashwinders walking about. There’s even a boss there that is taken out quickly with Bombarda. You may also face some nasty Inferius (skeletons that are weak to fire). Take them out with the best spells you have.
How to decipher this map
Once these foes are dealt with, go southwest of the area. Nearby a fireplace and some elaborate tents, you’ll see a stairway leading up to nine bells.
Strike them in this order:
- Bottom right bell
- 3rd on the left
- 2nd on the left
- 2nd on the right
- 3rd on the left again
- Top bell on the left
- Top on the right
- 2nd on the right
You’ll find out the song the bell plays is a neat reference to the magical . The treasure chest appears on your left-hand side. You now have the Treasure-Seeker’s Longcoat.
