Is Moonstone Island multiplayer?

Is this a multiplayer Stardew Valley alternative?

There’s so much potential for a Moonstone Island multiplayer mode. You could collect spirits, explore the 100 islands in the game, and learn the card-based battle system together. However, not every game can justify adding online multiplayer to its feature list. Here’s everything we know about a Moonstone Island multiplayer mode.

Will there be a Moonstone Island multiplayer mode?

As of writing, there are no plans to bring a multiplayer mode to Moonstone Island.

The official Steam page strictly has the tag “Single-player” on the right side above “Steam Achievements.” This means that there isn’t an online mode planned for the release of the title.

This doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t arrive. If Moonstone Island is successful, it could follow the same plan as Stardew ValleyThat game added online multiplayer in 2018, two years after the game’s initial release. That’s a long time for many. I’d love to farm and battle with a buddy in this game.

Something else to consider is that Moonstone Island has many gameplay aspects not seen in Stardew Valley. For example, there’s the large open-world aspect of this game, which has 100 islands to explore. That could make online multiplayer tricky to incorporate all on its own. There’s also the card-based battle system that seems more tuned to a single-player experience.

Are there any co-op life sims you can play?

Yes, there are plenty. First, if you have a Nintendo Switch, you can check out Animal Crossing: New HorizonsYou can invite your friends to your community and collect resources together. Some have even been married in the game during the COVID pandemic (via ). That’s the ultimate co-op experience.

Additionally, Disney Dreamlight Valley will have a co-op mode later this year. No exact release date has been given yet by the developer Gameloft, but if you’re a fan of Mickey, Ursula, and other characters from the House of Mouse, I highly recommend it.
