Can Switch players battle it out against PC users?

Crossplay was sadly absent from the first entry, but Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 has other plans. Here’s what you need to know about crossplay for this mascot brawler.

Uncle Iroh would approve – Crossplay is a go

“Life happens wherever you are, whether you make it or not,” says Uncle Iroh in the Avatar: The Last Airbender show so he’d approve that Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 crossplay exists. You can have SpongeBob and Aang fight it out, and it doesn’t matter if you’re both on a PS4, Switch, Xbox, or PC.

How does Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 crossplay work?

You can invite your friends, no matter the platform through a lobby password system. Create a lobby like normal and then press the Show Lobby Password button. It’s indicated on the top left. For PlayStation, it’s L1. You’ll then get a six-digit code. Tell your friend to write it down or copy it.

Then, tell them to select “Join Lobby by Password” and enter the digits. They’ll join the lobby instantly.

If you have issues connecting to the lobby, one of you may have crossplay turned off. During my testing, my friend on PC had it off by default and had to turn it on every time. At the online menu, go to “Options” by pressing the button indicated on the bottom right. Next, select “Online” and you should find the Crossplay toggle.

I also found it easier to set a preferred region like the USA rather than the default “Best;” no lobbies showed up for me when I selected “Best.” Now, you can fight in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2!
