Is there a Mario Wonder amiibo?

Expecting an Elephant Mario figure?

The Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct came and went, and in it, we learned about the lack of online co-op, and…no amiibo were announced. Let’s talk about it.

While Mario games tend to have copious amounts of amiibo figures, Mario Wonder doesn’t have anything…yet

While amiibo fans were split on whether not not Nintendo would spill the beans on an Elephant Mario amiibo or a full Mario Wonder line of figures – it looks like the doubt won out. There are no Super Mario Bros. Wonder amiibo announced at this time.

So what is coming out around the launch of Mario Wonder? Well, let’s break it down.

Super Mario Wonder comes out on October 20, 2023 worldwide. The most recent amiibo release before that launch is Pyra and Mythra, of the Smash Ultimate line, which debuted on July 21, 2023. After Wonder is out, we’ll get the Splatoon 3 Deep Cut wave on Novemberꦉ 🗹17, 2023. There is room for another amiibo launch here, but that long of a gap is common for amiibo releases post-2021.

For a ref🐻resh♔ on every amiibo figure ever released, we have a full breakdown here.

There’s still time for a Mario Wonder amiibo line to pop up

Even for first party Nintendo  titles, the publisher can be slow on the draw to actually get figures out. Take Splatoon 3 for example, which is getting its idol trio a full year after the release of the ga♛me.

So I’m saying there’s a chance! We’ll just have to wait a bit longer to see how Wonder plays out. Maybe we’ll get a second Direct that will talk about Charles Martinet’s replacement situation. We’ll update this article if that happens.
