Kamizun Shrine location and solution for Tears of the Kingdom

Fuse! Fuse! Fuse!

Kamizun Shrine is one of the many shrines in Tears of the Kingdom that ♑requires players to defeat all enemies while starting out with n🎐o items, food, or equipment. There are different levels to these types of shrines.

As a beginner-level example, Kamizun Shrine can be completed very early in the game, and the constructs within don’t hit too hard. Even the initial three health hearts for Link are enough to conquer this challenge with some leeway. Before we get into the details of how to complete the shrine, let’s take a look at where to find it.

How to find Kamizun Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

Kamizun Shrine is located in the Hyrule Field area of the map. It’s southeast of the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower and directly south of Lookout Landing, although it’s a long walk. If you have Popla Foothills Skyview Tower unlocked, you can find the shrine at almost the exact midpoint between it and Hyrule Field Skyview Tower. Check the map above for the exact location of the shrine next to the Forest of Time.

How to complete Kamizun Shrine

When you enter Kamizun Shrine, Link will be stripped of all armor, weapons, and items. You’ll have access to nothing you came in with. To complete the shrine, you’ll need to defeat all of the enemies inside. All of the constructs combine into one health bar at the top of the screen, which will go down as you kill each one.

To fight the constructs, you’re going to need to make use of Link’s Fuse ability. That’s the ability that allows you to combine weapons and shields into new versions when fusing items. As you enter the shrine, there are some basic weapons, like the long wooden stick, that aren’t much use until you fuse something else to them. In the arena, there are items such as a boulder and a spiky metal ball that can be fused to make the weapons much stronger.

We opted for the long stick and the spiky ball to create a kind of spear/mace hybrid. The key is to choose your fusing item quickly and to keep moving. The constructs are fast and will easily catch you if you’re indecisive. To get the spiky ball, make a beeline for the back of the arena where it is located. Fuse it quickly and then continue moving. When you’re ready, the constructs can be taken down fairly easily in two or three hits each. Simply keep your distance and bide your time to hit them when you have an opening.

After you’ve defeated all of the constructs, don’t forget to open the reward chest before exiting the shrine. It contains a Spring Shield, which, as the name sounds, is pretty cool.
