When gameplay intersects with prequel memes
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is out this week, and players are discovering all kinds of cool and interesting thiﷺngs they can do in it. And, as it turns out, one piece of tech is resurfacing some prequel feelings.
Similar to other games, children in Lego Star Wars cannot take friendly fire damage. This makes obvious sense, as one wouldn’t want to actually harm the younglings, Anakin. But still being able to hit them means there’s a—possibly unintended—side-effect: they can be juggled.
Twitter user showed off some seemingly infinite air juggle tech on the younglings. Not only do they make good test dummies for combos, because they’re not as fragile as some of the actual enemies in Lego Star Wars, but they can also be looped. In the video, Red Orb shows how Qui-Gon Jinn could, theoretically, take flight by repeaﷺtedly air-juggling the young༒ling.
so, children. at least this child, don't take friendly fire damage, so i found my test dummy. also side note, you can use children to cross large pits and void space. im calling this Child Flight

Needless to say, I am looking forwar🉐d to whether this tech makes the eventual Games Done Quick run.
Lightning, er, lightsaber loops
Players have been discovering a lot of interesting tech in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, as it turns out. Our own Chris Carter noted in his review that the combo system’s punched up a bit. And it does seem like there’s some fun to be had putting together combos.
Another Lego Star Wars player, on Twitter as Aidan_Core, has been posting . There are air combos, jump cancels, and more to find here, it seems. I heartily recommend watching the version I posted below, which lays Devil May Cry 5‘s “Devil Trigger” over the action. It’ll brighten up your Wednesday.
Added Devil Trigger on top, please watch!

So yes, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga might have some fun tech to pick apart. 🃏I do feel a bit sorry for the younglings, though.
