Let’s Sing 2024 is continuing the karaoke party with an all-new story mode and avatar customization, as announced on Thursday. Your avatar will show up on the screen singing alongside you. Publisher Plaion is packaging pop hits like Lizzo’s “About Damn Time” and BTS’ “Dynamite” into this year’s editions. The game will feature “all-time” classics in the songlist, too.
Plaion and developer Voxler plan a “full-fledged” story (career) mode for this year’s iteration that will “keep [us] rocking for hours and hours” that will take us from “amateur singing lessons to absolute stardom.” The publisher says you’ll “master songs and specific challenges while you meet unforgettable characters on your way to fame.”
You’ll be customizing a head that’s depicted as your avatar. There’s also different hats, hairstyles, gloves, glasses, and other aspects of your character to change. Hopefully, the uncanny valley element of it all won’t affect players’ enjoyment with Let’s Sing 2024.
Additionally, there’s a new multiplayer mode called Let’s Sing Fest that sounds similar to Just Dance‘s World Dance Floor. We’ll be able to “join a lobby with an endless loop of songs and try to get to the top of the leaderboard.” Another music-rhythm game, Samba de Amigo: Party Central, has a battle royale-like twist to this forma🗹t, too.
Let’s Sing 2024 song list so far
Plaion has also conf🍨irmed a few other popular songs in the game, including:
- Lady Gaga – “Hold My Hand”
- Billie Eilish – “Your Power”
- Ed Sheeran – “Eyes Closed”
- BTS – “Dynamite”
- Shawn Mendes – “When You‘re Gone”
- Lizzo – “About Damn Time”
- Miley Cyrus – “Wrecking Ball”
There will be 35 tracks overall. A song or two for the holiday season may join the songlist, too, like Wham’s “Last Christmas” in Let’s Sing 2022.
Karaoke fans can play Let’s Sing 2024 on the Nintendo Sw🅰itch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S later this year. No exact release date is given by Plaion as of the time of writing.
