There’s a lot of stuff to get to!
It’s almost impossible to narrow down a top five list of most iconic Mario Kart tracks — but this Mario Kart 8 Deluxe track list is doing a good job of showing us what’s missing.
, the list breaks down multiple games, and lists tracks that have and have not appeared in Deluxe. There’s even denotations for tracks that have been reused, or have never appeared again in any future game (and thus would be more ideal for preservation in Deluxe).
It’s interesting seeing everything broken down game by game. It feels like there should be more Super Mario Kart/SNES tracks in Deluxe, but there’s only three! Nintendo better pump those numbers up eventually. I always had a feeling that Mario Kart Tour✱ was super represented, but seeing it on paper is something else.
Beyond that, everything seems to be pretty well spread out across the rest of the series. Maybe we could use some more Double Dash (especially since it has some unique tracks that haven’t seen the light of day again)? But other than that, Nintendo has given each game a decent amount of representation.
As a note, the red exclamation mark (!) icon denotes tracks that were just recently confirmed to be part of “Wave 2” of the Booster Course [Season] Pass. We have four more waves to get to by the end of 2023, so there’s plenty on the way.
