Publisher Deep Silver has announced the release date for the next DLC expansion for its unnerving first-person-shooter Metro Exodus. Sam’s Story will launch on all platforms on February 11, following on from previous DLC release The Two Colonels.

There’s no trailer as of yet for this new side-adventure, but Deep Silver has detailed that Sam’s Story will add a new “exploration-based” sandbox environment. The narrative will see players take the role of the titular Spartan Ranger, who ventures out from the relative safety of the underground to join series protagonist Artyom on his journey into the nuclear-winter. After leaving the party’s stolen train-cum-home, The Aurora, Sam travels to Vladivostok in an effort to reunite with his missing father.

Sam’s Story launches on February 11 and can be purchased separately or is included as part of the game’s season pass. Metro Exodus is available now on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
