A 3D version of the ridiculously popular board game, Monopoly, is now available on Nintendo Switch.
Ubisoft, in partnership with Hasbro, has launched . Monopoly is the updated, digital version of the game that Ubisoft claims offers improved graphics and gameplay, and comes ten years after the launch of Monopoly Plus on the same platform.
Monopoly, the original board game, was first launched in 1936 and based on a game titled The Landlord’s Game, designed by anti-monopolist Lizzie Magie. Today, there are more than 300 variants, including Star Wars Monopoly and Game of Thrones Monopoly as well as hundreds of local variants. It has also been turned into a card game, in Monopoly Deal, and the mobile game Monopoly Go! is an extremely popular digital version.
In 1998, Hasbro Interactive released a version of the board game o🅰n Microsoft Windows that used a three-dimensional top-down depiction of the board, paving the way for modern digital iterations. These digital variants have made their way to most platforms including, most re🉐cently, the Nintendo Switch.
Monopoly is the latest version of the popular board game, published by Ubisoft in pౠartnership with Hasbro. It utilizes a three-dimensional city and cla🍌ims to offer improved visuals compared to earlier versions. As players progress around the board, they can watch it come to life through 3D visuals. Even the time of day changes as the play progresses.
Players that are losing can flip the board to quit, before trying again. Although the gameplay sticks mostly to the original rules, there are additional features like hidden tokens. Monopoly can be played 🍌by up to six people and includes couch co-op using a single controller. There are different game variations, including Fast Mode, to offer some variation.
