Monster Hunter Wilds players are just beginning to explore the game and compare it to Monster Hunter: World, but CAPCOM already has a major update planned before anyone even꧃ requests it.
The studio announced that Title Update 1 (TU1) will arrive in early April, aiming to expand the endgame and give players more content after completing the story and mastering combat. According to CAPCOM, the one-month gap between Wilds’ February 28 release and ❀TU1 is enough time for players to prepare for new content and challenges.
This♔ will be a free update, not a paid DLC or expansion.
MH Wilds’ TU1 will bring “a monster of formidable strength at a level above Tempered,” as well as a second monster vaguely described as “another challenging monster.” One of these is like Mizutsune, the monster teased in the game’s launch trailer. We’ll have to wait and see if this will be tough enough for those worried about MH Wilds being too easy and creating challenges on their own.
The same video also said this Spring update would bring Event quests, which weren’t mentioned by CAPCOM in this latest announcement.
TU1 will also bring a gathering hub. “A new place to meet, communicate, have meals together and more with other hunters will be added,” CAPCOM wrote. “This area will be available to hunters who have completed the main story.”
You might run into MH Wilds devs on launch day
In a separate update, CAPCOM revealed that MH Wilds developers will be playing online on launch day, giving players a chance to bump into the creators behind the g๊ame.
It’s unclear if encountering a dev in-game will grant any bonuse♐s or just make for a cool story to tell friends.
Also, the devs featured in the announcemওent video are from CAPCOM Japan, raising the question of whether “the whole dev team🌳” means all global developers or just those playing on Japanese servers.
