Mother soundtrack is getting a cool vinyl release in Japan

Sony Music Direct has revealed plans to release the original soundtrack of 1989 Nintendo classic Mother – or EarthBound Beginnings as it is better known in western territories.

The double vinyl LP will launch on December 25 in Japan at a cost of ¥5,000 (or roughly $46). The release features two clear-vinyl LPs, sleekly housed in a mi൩nimalist red sleeve.

The track listing is as follows:
