The relaunch of Multiversus has already been a fairly divisive affair, but fans took note that the game was missing some features. How𓆉ever, the dev assures t💃he game is bringing those features back.
Several features that were available in what PlayerFirs☂t and the community are generously calling the Beta were missing, which obviously rubܫbed fans the wrong way.
But Tony Huy꧃nh, the co-founder of Player 1st Games, too💛k to social media to assure fans that those features would be restored soon.
“Many of these features are currently implemented and are in testing and we had planned, but were left out due to time as we had to rebuild every screen and feature again to support our new netcode and Unreal Engine 5 switch.” Huynh revealed on his account.
When Multiversus finally returned after its long hiatus, fans were quick to note features were missing that had added to the game’s online multiplayer. These components included leaderboards, match stats, a co-op vs AI mode, and a Smash Bros-like free-for-all mode that added random items.
Also missing was the ability to play as an unowned character in training mode. Without this option, players are left with n෴o means of test-driving a new character without unlocking them.
In their place was a brand new season pass with unlockables and a new single-player driven “Rift” mode. The reception to the new Multiversus has been fairly mixed,♋ but hopefully this is just a small bump for this already controversial game.
