Mundaun is a solo-developer game about exploring “an alpine world where reality and myth intertwine” to get to the bottom of your grandfather’s suspicious passing, a premise that’s made even more enticing with a mildly unnerving aesthetic. There’s talk of a fear-based movement system, roaming creatures, sleigh riding, puzzle-solving, and an inventory to “keep you focused on collecting,” so don’t expect a simple mountainside stroll.
I can’t quite put my finger on why Mundaun looks so ap♚pealing, but I like its whole vibe. Along with a Steam release, Hidden Fields is planning to 🌜bring the game to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
