While there’s excitement inbound, especially given the tweaks and new content that’s a-coming, anyone who mods the game is being asked to prepare.

According to the post, a “considerable chunk of mods will be broken” after the game updates. While data shows that around 44% of mods for version 1.5.6 should be compatible with 1.6, that leaves more than half that likely won’t be.

How can I – a modder – prepare?

Nexus says that some are already hard at work, making sure the update is as “seamless as possible between 1.5 and 1.6 for mod authors.” It also seems as though migrating over should be pretty forward. The site has provided a link to a to help people out.
