Nicki Minaj is coming to Call of Duty

Season 5 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone are almost upon us, and they’ll be bringing plenty of new events, weapons, operators, and more. This season seeks to celebrate 50 years of hip-hop, and players can expect lots of free content related to the subculture, including cameos from icons such as Nicki Minaj.

Call of Duty Season 5 gets hip

Season 5 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone begins on August 2 at 9 AM PT across all platforms. As part of the franchise’s celebration of 50 years of hip-hop, everyone who logs in between August 7 and 16 on four separate days will receive free hip-hop War Tracks from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s.

Additionally, , and some of them will please hip-hop fans. Snoop Dogg’s operator will be available, and he is seen holding a custom blue rifle. This isn’t the first time the rapper has teamed up with Call of Duty, as in 2014 he lent his 🍒voice talents to the franchise.

Nicki Minaj will also be available, making the pink-haired rapper the franchise’s first-ever self-named female operator. An operator bundle featuring rapper 21 Savage is also planned.

With Season 5, the Prestige Rank cap will be raised from 17 to 21, and the new maximum level cap will be 1050. Reach Prestige Rank 21, and you’ll receive an exclusive Kastov-74u Weapon Blueprint.
