Nintendo Europe lays off 320 employees this week

130 full-time and 190 temp

Remember how we heard that Nintendo Europe will lay off 130 employees last month? It gets worse.

Those 130 full-time employees will lose their jobs this week, as will an additional 190 from theღir localization department in Germany, reports . Though some of these were temporary employees, many have worked in this department for years. These folks were notified in June, though.

That original layoff news left a lot of people hanging; it’s finally happening this week.

Nintendo told Kotaku that the layoffs were to allow them to “better enable the European business to adapt to the rapidly changing business environment.”
