Not-for-profit Sandy Hook Arcade Center opens in Newtown

Arcade ‘established to foster fun for families and children’

The Sandy Hook Arcade Center, a not-for-profit business, has now officially opened its doors to the local community and beyond thanks to the initiati😼ve of two locals: Andrew Clure and Scott Cicciari.

Thanks to the behemoth of donations made to the Center — ranging from people donating to companies such as Microsoft, Samsung, Sega, and Namco (to name a few) chipping in — the Sandy Hook Arcade Center currently features over 22 different games for children and their parents to have a go at; these range from the crane game, pinball and foosball to more modern videogames.

If you’re a Newtown resident, admission is completely free while those coming in from outside will be asked to pay a small entrance fee donation. With continued donations, Clure and Cicciari are aiming to help as many children and families as possible enjoy themselves after the tragic events of December 14, 2012.
