Xbox One version under consideration

Young Horses remarked on Twitter that its goal is to release Octodad: Dadliest Catch on PlayStation 4 in April. Some of us were expecting a bit sooner than that, but “There was never a definite date, or delay,” according to the studio.

“We’d love to have launched sooner, but it’s our first console release ever and we want to do it right.” Octodad will run at 1080p “with nice anti-aliasing.” That is nice!

The team is also “considering” an Xbox One version, however such a port is not in active development or anything like that. “We are interested in it, but have not decided to do it yet.”

I went ahead and bought the game on PC out of a lack of patience and it’s exactly what I wanted/expected it to be: fun, funny, and occasionally frustrating. Given the choice, I’d have probably gone for the PlayStation 4 version instead just for the heck of it, really.
