‘Only Todd Howard himself’ can publicly talk about Starfield details, says design director

Those pesky NDAs

Starfield is not exactly a complete mystery. Over the years, we’ve learned a lot about it. There’s pretty much been enough information about Bethesda’s anticipated sci-fi RPG to fill a 1,000-page compendium. However, it turns out that the majority of the people working on the game ar🌠e not allowe🅺d to actually reveal a lot of detail about it.

That’s according to a tweet from , the design director for Starfield. In a couple of recent posts, it’s been noted that many fans have been wanting further information about the upcoming release. Unfortunately, Pagliarulo has said that only Todd Howard is “authorized to talk publicly about unreleased game info,” adding that it does frustrate him that he’s unable to answer a lot of people’s questions.

A third tweet says that, no matter how much he’d like to, Pagliarulo is unable to share anything about Starfield‘s performance, the content itself, or “well, most things,” as per his NDA. There’s no mention of whether anyone else at Bethesda has signed non-disclosure agreements, but it’s more than likely they will have done in preparation for Starfield.

But it’s still not coming to PlayStation

One thing that has been clear throughout the game’s development is its exclusivity with Xbox. For those who don’t have a powerful enough PC, and/or have a PS5, there’s currently no chance in hell you’ll get to experience Starfield, despite Microsoft saying it could easily shift millions of units on the rival console.

In any case, it hasn’t stopped it from being the hype juggernaut that it currently is. No one can really blame Todd Howard for wanting the final say in what gets mentioned about Starfield, but it’s also understandable why those directly working on the game would be frustrated they can’t answer fan questions about it.
