Over a record 1000 entries to the 2014 IGF

That’s a lot. No really, a lot.

It feels like every year the Independent Games Festival gets bigger and bigger but that’s definitely the case with the student prize. There have been over in total, split between the Main and Student competitions. There were 350 entrants to the student prize alone which is heck of a lot of games. 

Some of these games, like the wonderful browser game Westerado, have already been released but many titles are still to see the light of day. There seems to be a good mix of entries spread over traditional platforms and mobile devices, as well as games using the Oculus Rift, like . I’m kind of glad I’m not a judge for the IGF as it must be overwhelming to have so many games to play. Still, it will be great to see some of these unique titles in their final form.
