Platinum Games Shigenori Nishikawa was expressed an interest in MadWorld 2, saying that the studio would “definitely” be up for another round of the blood-soaked Wii game that everybody talked about but nobody actually bought.
“I think MadWorld was very well received and was acknowledged for its innovative graphical style and gameplay,” he said. “We would definitely be interested in making a sequel in the future.”
Whether or not we get a MadWorld 2 is matter for the Gods to decide, but if a sequel ever arrives, it would probably be best to put it on a console where it will actually sell, rather than the Wii. MadWorld was a critical success but a commercial flop, while the studio’s latest game, Bayonetta, appears t💯o be doing very wel♒l on the 360 and PS3.
