Kick out the jams for Sony’s not-E3 offering
We’re officially in June, and as any video game knows that means it’s time to open the floodgates on a huge tidal wave of news, reveals, trailers, headlines, and updates — E3 itself might not be putting in an appearance this year, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t expect a flurry of exciting news pertaining to the slew of digital entertainment headed our way in the remainder of 2022 and beyond.
Kicking off the summer festivities is industry giant Sony Interactive Entertainment, which will be hosting in just a few minutes’ time. The live stream promises roughly a half-hour of news, reveals, and updates focusing on the PlayStation brand. With the PS5 now long out of its honeymoon period, (and y🥀et still not quite as prevalent as it might be), it will be interesting to see what Sony and its partners hℱave lined up for the too-big box; its still relevant brother, PS4, and incoming hardware PSVR 2.
We hope that you’ll join us right here on Destructoid for the State of Play presentation, which kicks off at the top of the hour. Be sure to have your voices heard in the comments below, and please stick around for the remaining summer streams set to roll out over the course of the next few months. If I’m being totally honest, they’re not always the most fun things to report on, (they can be surprisingly stressful!) but the interest and opinions of all y’all certainly make it worthwhile.
So pull up a pew, sit back, and enjoy the show!
