Project L Duo Play

Project L – all announced characters from Riot’s League of Legends Fighting Game

Here's a quick look at all the already-announced characters from Project L.

After a long period of dormancy, Project L, the League of Legends fighting game from Riot Games, has resurfaced. The devs have already shared the , as well as shown off some of the characters from the League Of Legends roster we’ll get to play as.

Yasuo

Yasuo has consistently proven to be one of the best mid-lane picks in League Of Legends, so it’s no surprise that he’ll be in Project L.ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ He will make use of his wind-controlling abilities to dash in and out of fights, but also to raise his famous wind wall to block every projectile thrown at him. Riot describes Yasuo as a fighter who has an answer for everything.

Ekko

Ekko is a trickster who features both zoning projectiles and chrono-abilities that will allow him to repeat his moves. Ekko’s time-controlling abilities will play like Tracer’s special ability in Overwatch, but for offense as well as defense. Riot describes Ekko as a high skill ceiling character. I recommend newer players perhaps consider getting accustomed to the game before picking him as a bad first impression of a fighting game miওght be eno🐈ugh to sour the entire experience and prevent players from trying again.

Ahri

Just as she does in League Of LegendsProject L’s Ahri will make use of a quick succession of dashes to hit the opponents in close range and then to get away from them as she switches to long-ranged magical attacks. She won’t be easy to catch, but she won’t be very resilient against the players who do catch her.

Darius in Project L

Darius

Don’t let his bulky frame fool you — Darius isn’t a tank. He’s a heavy-hitting bruiser who dominates at mid-range and who’ll deal more and more damage as his combo meter builds up. Darius is meant for players who want to embody ceaseless aggression.

Illaoi

We still don’t know much about Illaoi, but we know she’ll be on the tankier side. She’ll take more damage than any other character announced so far, but she’ll also be able to dish out tons of damage, provided she manages to catch enemies with her slower attacks. Illaoi will make use of her weird Lovecraftian soul Jar to catch her enemies at longer ranges, so you should never underestimate her.

Jinx in Arcane

Jinx

This girl-shaped weapons lab will excel at long-range as she boasts one machine gun, one bazooka, a zapper gun, and bear traps that will keep her enemies as far away as needed. This long-ranged playstyle seems to aim at a character that’ll be hard to play, but Jinx is likely the most popular character in League Of Legends and Arcane right now, so there’s no way she won’t be good.

Katarina in League Of Legends

Katarina

Katarina remains the most mysterious character in the game, as we’re yet to even see what she’ll look like in Project L. The screenshot above is her main splash art in League Of Legends, not her looks in Project L. If she plays anything like she does in LoL, I’d expect her to be a quick and nimble glass canon.

This is far from the full character roster that’ll be in the final version of Project L. We’ll provide updates as soon as more details arrive.

Project L still doesn’t have a release date, and we still don’t know what platforms it will release on, though PC is pretty much a given since that’s Riot’s playground.
