For all you PC gamers who love LAN parties, the biggest one of them all is set for summer of next year. idSof🐎tware has announced that QuakeCon 2009 will be taking place in Dallas from August 13th to August 16th at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
id is going to be using QuakeCon to show off and market their upcoming free-to-play browser FPS Quake Live, but there will be plenty of other exhibitors and games available if shooters aren’t your cup of tea.
As always, QuakeCon is completely free – you only have to pay to get yourself there and to book a hotel. Online registration for the event itself won’t begin until March 6th, but the Hilton Anatole is .
