The long-awaited return of the fan-favorite Resurgence Warzone map, Rebirth Island, is almost here. Finally, as we’re past the halfway point of Season 2, the developers released a trailer showing off the latest version of the classic Blackout map basešd on Alcatraz. Here come the Rebirth Island sweats.
Welcome back to prison
For the first time in a while, Warzone players will be able to drop into Rebirth Island on April 3. With the launch of Season 3 of Warzone and Modern Warfare 3, the beloved map is returning. A trailer revealed the details, which include a few changes, or at least that’s what everyone online seems to think. After Warzone Mobile launched with Rebirth Island recenštly, many players believed it to be a mater of time before the standaršd game received the same content.
Notable Rebirth Island changes
Twitter users and others around the internet have discovered a few changes from screenshots and trailers revealing Rebirth Island for Warzone Season 3. First, in the trailer, it looks like the lighthouse is knocked down, falling directly into the prison building. As a result, it’s likely we see one of the changes we’re used to with every Warzone map, giant holes in the ground.
Though nothing is certain yet, this would take out part of the downstairs office space and stairs leading up to the roof on one side of the prison. Additionally, it removes the gigantic lighthouse tower many players liked to drop in and camp on, which is great. in place to be a new platform for climbing up to the prison’s roof. Some have speculated on a type of dynamic destruction since the lighthouse and prison are shown standing normally and broken up, but we won’t know until April 3.
As you can see from the map above, it doesn’t look like there are any new or different notable POIs. and Harbor, but it’s unconfirmed and difficult to tell. The Resurgence map returns to Call of Duty: Warzone on consoles and PC with Season 3 on April 3.
