Red Dead Online has big Free Roam bonuses and a free Ability Card this week

Usually, Rockstar gears weekly bonuses toward specific activities — role XP boosts, premiums on showdown matches, that sort of stuff. This time, it’s a massive increase to all the random things your posse handles around town.

For the week of April 14, Red Dead Online is handing out +50% bonuses to XP, RDO$, and Gold on all completed Free Roam events. That’s a pretty good return for taking care of some smaller tasks. Additionally, completing just one Free Roam event will net you a coupon for 50% off a coat that has a rank gate below 15.

However, Red Dead Online is also offering a real freebie this weekend. Anyone who simply logs into the game between April 17 and April 20 will get a free Ability Card just for showing up. No actual wranglin’ or rootin’-tootin’ necessary.
