GOG has revealed for the last game in their re-releases of the Resident Evil series. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis joins the rest on September 25.
GOG announced that they were working on re-releases for the first three games in the Resident Evil series back in June. At that time, they launched the first game, with preorders open for the other two. In August, Resident Evil 2 followed, leaving only this one remaining.
And, honestly, I’ve never played through OG Resident Evil 3. I played the 2020 remake, but I don’t think that’s really the same thing. It was fine, but not really up to standards with the Resident Evil 2 remake that came before. So, I’m looking forward to playing it on PC… right after I actually get around to playing the first two. Weirdly, I did find time to finally play through Resident Evil Revelations, wh🐠ich was sitting on my 🐎Switch for yonks. I guess I get distracted easily.
While Resident Evil 3 launched on PS1, there was a P𓆉C version released. However, by many accounts it wasn’t very good, and 🍸getting it to run on a modern OS causes even more suffering. So, GOG went to work upgrading it to run more effortlessly.
Resident Evil 3 re-releases on PC via GOG on September 25, 2024.
