Retro City Rampage was one of the most interesting releases of 2012. Written and designed largely , the game was in development for years, leaving hungry fans to lay in wait. Xbox 360 and Wii owners may still be waiting, as RCR is yet toš’Ŗ hit those consoles. That will start to change tomorrow when the game finally sees release on XBLA.

It will be interesting to see how well the game sells on the platform that was once thought of as the best bet for indie developers. It will also be interesting to see if the influx of new players will help to unravel all of RCR‘s secrets, including the shoe car seen above. It looks like a great choice for traversing a field of man-eating plants.

Also, a reminder to those of you who like Destructoid: You can alter your appearance in RCR to look like me, Jim Sterling, Conrad Zimmerman, Max Scoville, and a variety of other higher-profile members of the gaming enthusiast community. It’s pretty neat!
