Released in November of this year, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — Definitive Edition is . The new compilation of classic, open-world crime scenes received some praise for their modern-day visual effects, such as lighting and atmosphere, but overall the trilogy was roundly criticized for poor character models, terrible weather physics, misspelled art assets, a litany of bugs and glitches, draw distance problems, and a high price tag. In addition, players took issue with Rockstar’s heavy-handed approach toward mod communities who had, ironically, created arguably far better “remasters” of the original games than Rockstar’s own release.
