GTA 6 could finally be coming soon, and like everyone else, I’m tired of waiting for this lo𒁏ng-overdue sequel.
The GTA 6 release window is officially set for Fall 2025, mꦜeaning it should launch sometime between September 🤡22 and December 21.
We can narrow this down slightly based on release schedules from other major games, which suggests a more likely launch before November. However, we still have no idea when pre-orders will go live. That will lꦦikely be the time when players can secure pre-order bonuses and other exclusive c🗹ontent for the game.
Looking at Rockstar’s recent releases—GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2—we can make an educated guess on when pre-orders for GTA 6 might open.
That said, everything here is speculative. Rockstar hasn’t even conf𓄧irmed an exact release date ♐yet, so take this as just an analysis based on their past trends.

GTA 5 pre-orders went live 4 months before the initially planned release
Let’s start with GTA 5, which launch෴ed in late 2013. Back then, , fo🌠r a Spring 2013 game release (between March 20 and June 21 of that year).
While the game was ultimately delayed to September 17, this preorder date w♓as four months away from the earliest release date and seven from the latest.
Red Dead Redemption 2 pre-orders launched nearly 5 months before release
For , almost five months before its October 26 rele🦹ase. This gave players plenty of 🤡time to explore the different editions and pre-order bonuses.
However, Red Dead Redemption 2 was delayed multiple times, so Rockstar may have originally planned for an earlier release and simply 𝐆kept the pre-order system in place when the game was pushed back.
Predicting GTA 6’s pre-order window
Since these were Rockstar’s two biggest releases before GTA 6, we can speculate that if GTA 6 is set for Fall 2025, pre-orders could go live five months ahead of release, so sometime between April and June 2025.
April would be the earliest date considering a September release, while June would be the latest considering a late November release. I’m skipping December on purpose since it’s rare for big games to release that late into the year.
Of course, this is just a guess based on past trends. A lot depends on factors 🐓like development progress, the game’s marketing schedule, and how much time Rockstar wants between pre-orders and launch.
So if you’re an impatient gamer who gets excited over new GTA 5 lighting effects or falls for John Cena’s bait posts on Instagram, you might need to take a deep breath and wait a little longer for official news on GTA 6 pre-orders.
